Solstice Vocal Ensemble
Founded in 1995, Solstice is an award-winning vocal ensemble of women's voices. Past performances by Solstice in the Bay Area include The Freight & Salvage, La Peña Cultural Center, Montalvo Arts Center & KALW’s Folk Music & Beyond. This program will feature works from Hildegard von Bingen to Francis Poulenc; folk music from the Americas, and original compositions. Members are Becca Burrington,Christina Bogiages, Emily Bender, Kim Warsaw, Krista Enos, Sara Webb-Schmitz, & Sheryl Kaskowitz.

The Farallon Quintet
Founded in the summer of 2012, the Quintet performs innovative arrangements and new music by living composers, in addition to the classics. The Quintet members are Ani Bukujian and Matthew Oshida, violins; Elizabeth Prior, viola; Peter Myers, cello, & José González Granero, clarinet. Performing transcriptions from Spanish songs by Manuel de Falla, Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, & Osvaldo Golijov’s "K’vakarat” from The Dreams & Prayers of Isaac the Blind.

Music on the Hill Benefit
Join us for an evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music.
Featuring mezzo-soprano Melinda Martinez Becker. In the Bay Area, Melinda’s performances include collaboration with the Musical Art Quintet, Classical Revolution, & operatic performances with Opera San José & Bay Shore Lyric Opera. Joined by pianist Ava Soifer, she will perform selections from Seis Canciones Portuguesas by Ernesto Halffter, & works by Granados & Ravel.
Also presenting the gifted musicians from the Ruth Awawa SOTA string quartet.

"A hip, unstuffy, and malleable group of high-quality chamber musicians…” (SF Classical Voice). Founded in 2013, Ensemble SF draws its musicians from the SF Symphony, Ballet, & Opera orchestras. Past performances include Herbst Theater, Old First Concerts, Berkeley Chamber Performances, Throckmorten Theater, and UCSF Chancellor's Concert Series.
Performers are Rebecca Jackson, violin, Jessica Chang, viola, Jonah Kim, cello & ElizabethSchumann, piano. Program TBA

Ava & Friends
Bay Area chamber musicians Evan Kahn & Kate Stenberg join Music on the Hill artistic director, Ava Soifer in an exciting program of Piano Trios. A former member of the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, & the Del Sol String Quartet, Kate Stenberg is currently performs as soloist and collaborative artist. Evan Kahn, is principal cellist of the Symphony Silicon Valley & performs with the new music series “After Everything”. The program includes works by Shostakovich, Dvorak and Piazzola.
